Selling Guild Membership - Illegal?
This has got to be against the Terms of Service: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...sPageName=WDVW
The gist of it is that "Sissy Boys" is selling guild membership to their GW guild on EBay, which being an in-game asset of Guild Wars, reasonably constitutes as property belonging to ArenaNet.
Thoughts?

Im not that deep into the Terms of service and license agreement, but I see no problems with such.
Is says you can not sell accounts.
Is does not prohibit to sell virtual goods or invitations to whatever.
I bet theese guys have a Webserver or Chatserver to pay.

that has got to be the funniest thing ever and i believe i read somewhere that Anet does not condone any form of selling anything for actual money.

I wouldn't be surprised if anyone accepted into the guild either gets kicked right back out or is never allowed to play in any battles with them.
Allowing people to purchase a spot in a guild, how low can you go?

I actually saw them win the HoH once or twice when I was on. But personally, I think that Idiot Savants guild seems more impressive.

Well, it must, because I've never been able to get into a group that can do it. I've been close, but then the group I was playing with got bored with the game and moved on to other games.

Yah taht's kinda stretching it Sol.
But a lot of companies do claim all right sto ALL virtual possessions in the game which would include the guild (so basically Anet would own your guild and you would be renting it).
Not sure if that's how Anet phrases it but it's how OSI/EA did, SOE did, and Blizzard soooo yah.
So basically yah, selling a membership on ebay without giving Anet a cut is illegal.

Ya know, to take that as a personal jab is taking our oversensitive culture to an extreme.
That name in no way implies anyone's sexual nature. Pink has always been seen as a docile colour and "unmanly". Sissy also pretty much means "unmanly".
Would you be okay with it if their capes were green?

Sorry about that, I shouldn't have said it takes no skill. It does take skill, and the average group wont win in HoH. But guilds competing at the top of the ladder shouldn't have any problem winning in HoH's, and you can't really base being a top guild on that. So what I meant was winning HoH is irrelevent when trying to figure who is the top guilds.
Edit: Yes, it also made me laugh, and I would sure hope its a joke, cause it is pretty silly. But lets see if someone will sink even lower and actually bid
